CORRIE-DE LPF

Carry Horse 5

Date of Birth: 04-13-99
Color:
Light chestnut
Height:
13.3” HH

Registered “drafty style” Haflinger mare, she is a gorgeous sight to see in the pasture.
We purchased her to be a “pasture manner trainer” for our young male donkeys, she sure can keep them in line; that is the problem she is a bit to much horse for the job and likes to drive them a bit. She is now pastured with our Jimmy Brown, our small young jack.
I have been working natural horsemanship with her and she is a fun fast learner. This is a great horse who needs an owner that will use her to her full potential, I have the donkeys to manage and cannot spend the time I would like, so I am offering her to someone who can.

A bit of history as we know it...
Corrie was bred & raised by Larry Bain , Applton WI (Fox Valley Haflingers). Her papers are up to date and I sent them in for transfer.

She was trained to drive and worked by the Amish and had pulled the manure wagon on and off the road ways. She had 3 foals by the age of 7 years, and around that time was purchased by Carol Holoubek, Hartford who sold Corrie to us. Carol had told us she is broke nicely to drive, but we have not tested her as we have no cart to fit her.

Corrie was not over worked the past few years and from our information was driven a few times this summer before they sold the harness & cart.
She can be harness and she stands quiet and I have line driven her.
Her previous owner Carol said, her granddaughter played and sat on her with no halter or equipment, they thought Corrie is a bit confused at to what to do when sat on.
My Hubby, hoped up on her bareback and was able to get her to walk a little around the yard with a halter & lead. She is not mean or to excitable but will need a little training as to what riding is and what you expect her to do.
Her main job was driving and she probably feels more comfortable in that field until she gets a little more work with pressure, she is very responsive and learns quickly. Corrie is super friendly and loves company and attention, she will follow you all over and is very curious & likes to be in the mix. She is not afraid of equipment like tractors, 4-wheelers, and she seems to feel secure around objects.

$1500.00 Offers maybe considered

Corrie is a fun horse to play with; she is kind & curious a gentle girl, she is looking for an owner who she can have fun!!!
